IPL AND LASER

At Erase we use a combination of IPL and Laser devices to treat skin pigmentation on the face and body areas. The pigmentation may initially darken as it moves its way closer to the surface of the skin and will slough off over the following 7-14 days. If pigmentation is dermal or sitting deeper in the skin, other treatment modalities may be needed to help clear the pigment.

Vascular treatments, predominantly for the face and decolletage area are a common concern regardless of gender or age. Though there are multiple said causes or symptoms for this type of redness, treatments can aid in managing flare ups and severity of its appearance.


Our vascular treatments would involve laser intervention to specifically target and collapse the weakened vessels without affecting the surrounding healthy skin. Vascular treatments can be used on any form of redness, being diffused redness, rosacea, dilated blood capillaries, cherry angiomas or sun damaged skin.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

Depending on the symptoms being treated, ongoing lifestyle factors and medical history, our aim is to minimise and manage the appearance of said redness causing concern. A more detailed result and outcome varies to the individual.

IS THE TREATMENT PANIFUL?

Treatments can involve some to minimal discomfort. Some would compare the sensation of the laser like an instant rubber band flicking on the skin with no lingering discomfort, only some heat.

WILL YOU NOTICE A CHANGE?

A change can be noticed during and after the treatment with gradual long term reduction of redness. You could experience some swelling and redness from the treatment with the redness subsiding and localised swelling for up to 24 hours.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

There may be initially some redness and swelling from the treatment but physical downtime is minimal. Any redness can be covered up with make up the day after the treatment.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Redness and swelling from the heat and interaction with the laser is normal. This redness will be even across the face, similar to if you’ve just gone for a long run or worked out.
